wants to go to KidZania Manila.
McKenzie loves McDonald's and it will always be her
first choice. She loves their Happy Meal with 1pc Chicken McAdoo or with the
4pc Chicken McNuggets.
Kids will wear specially made McDonald’s aprons to make them feel that they are real McDonald’s crew members inside a McDonald’s kitchen! |
McKenzie’s been asking us about KidZania. She
received a cash gift for her birthday which was strictly allotted for KidZania.
We haven’t found time to go yet, because everytime I plan to go, I see a notice
on their FB page saying all tickets are sold out.
McDonald’s Burger Shop in KidZania is now open for kids 4 to 14 years old who want to learn how to make McDonald’s iconic Cheeseburger. |
Now the universe conspired to make great things
happen for McKenzie. We received an invite go to KidZania and she’d be one of
the first kids to experience the McDonald’s Burger Shop inside.
We had to leave at 630am to get to BGC by 8am. I
told her to wake up by 5am but she was up even before the alarm sounded. She
was so excited; she chose her outfit for the day!
All ingredients and packaging materials are exactly what crew members use and customers enjoy over 460 McDonald’s restaurants nationwide. |
We fuelled up at the newly opened McDonald’s Park
Triangle branch located at the ground floor beside KidZania were the kids were
assembled in batches before going inside KidZania.
McKenzie is with the 1st Batch.
Media and mom bloggers brought their kids to McDonald’s Burger Shop last Saturday, Sept. 19. They were one of the first to experience the Cheeseburger-making activity in KidZania! |
While waiting to go in, McKenzie was able to meet
Ronald, Birdie and Grimace too. She also had her picture taken at the photo
booth and played with the balloons that were handed out by the smiling
McDonald’s crew.
We were ushered in and I can see the excitement in
McKenzie’s eyes.
Kids show their very own McDonald’s Cheeseburgers! They get to take it home and enjoy it after the activity. |
Alonzo begins assembling his very own McDonald’s Cheeseburger with the help of the Burger Shop’s friendly staff. |
At every visit, kids will
put together all of its tasty ingredients—100% pure beef patty, a slice of
American cheese, tangy pickles, minced onions, ketchup, mustard, and perfectly
toasted buns. Inside the burger shop, kids will learn the same procedure that
real crew members use in preparing this delicious treat every day in over 460 McDonald’s
restaurants nationwide.
“Making a McDonald’s Cheeseburger is an exciting activity in itself, but the real treat for kids and their parents is the experience and values learned while doing the activity. Together with KidZania, our hope is for kids to learn and appreciate the importance of hard work and responsibility, at the same time building their social skills and self-confidence,” said McDonald’s Philippines President and CEO Kenneth S. Yang.
“KidZania Manila is a place where kids can do big things and let their creativity run free,” said Maricel Pangilinan Arenas, State Governor for KidZania Philippines. “Here, they get to experience how a community operates, discover different careers, and learn while having fun by working closely with real-world brands that they know and love, like McDonald’s.”
McDonald’s Burger Shop at
Kidzania is one of the ways that the company champions children’s wellbeing.
Every summer, McDonald’s holds its Kiddie Crew Workshop where kids get to
experience different fun activities from art and talent workshops to on-floor
activities and values formation sessions. While its annual McHappy Day provides
a venue for the entire family to spend time together outdoors with a fun run.
McDonald’s also provides an
opportunity to make a difference in the lives of kids in need through the
Ronald McDonald House Charities or RMHC. For every purchase of a McDonald’s
Happy Meal, 50 centavos is donated to RMHC in support of its flagship programs,
Ronald McDonald Read To Learn and Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit.
